- I first wanted to publish a book when I was in second grade. The first story I wrote was about a girl named Ruby, who was so mean everyone called her Rudy
- I married my high school sweetheart in 2003. The Texan (him) married the yankee (me) and he’s pretty much my favorite
- Coffee over tea, always. Although I love a good matcha latte. Especially this kind I can get locally that has strawberry preserves added in… stop it right now
- My best time of day to write is in the morning, which feels like a cruel twist of fate, because I have the hardest time getting up early
- I have a golden retriever and a tuxedo cat. They are both the absolute sweetest
- Contemporary romance is my favorite genre, but my favorite books of all time are actually historical romance
- I have three daughters and they are each so unique and wonderful. One is into theatre and about a hundred different fandoms, one makes the cutest crocheted stuffies you ever did see, and one loves to draw, specifically fashion. They all love Taylor Swift (okay, I do too)
- I don’t watch much TV, but when I do, I’m probably re-watching The Office or Gilmore Girls
- I name all of my houseplants
- I wrote my first full novel in 2009 without knowing a single thing about HOW to write. It was absolutely terrible, but it also proved that I could do it. Thankfully, I’ve improved a lot since then!
